I had my hair dyed in Tokyo last Dec on my birthday. I am still amazed by the fact that my hair was damaged at all after I had it dyed in a cute Japanese salon (at least it looked fine). Japan has always been a tend leader in hair style/hair care among Asian countries. (Just check out how many different tools and care products Japan has for hair!) yeah... so I m a big fan of Japanese hair products..well at least for Asian hair.
the top part of my hair is black as I have not dyed my hair for 7 months. I want to cover it up with similar color I did in Japan, which is similar to chocolate. I bought Palty foam hair color set for $14 in a Japanese supermarket near Edgewater.
Foam? It feels so advanced and tender, hoping it would not damage my hair much!
It is very simple to use. mix cream 1 and 2 together and gently stir them into foams!
**Be careful to stir the cream gently, and stir from the bottom of the appliance cup. I think I did it too hard which reduced the foam... so I ended up apply the well stirred mixture on my hair instead of foams. well, the result turned well.
Facts I love about it:
- Smells great... One reason I hate regular hair color is normally due to its poor odor.. but this set is not one of them!...It seems good during and after hair dying time.
- The color comes up quite evenly!
- My hair did not dry out much after using. below is the before and after picture of me
However I did hear ppl complaining about the color comes darker than the image on the box..well, it is true, it is not as bright/light as what is shown on the box. Do check the hair color after usage reference image on back of the box (2nd image in this post)... that one is more accurate.
It is hard to tell the different in below pictures taken in natural room light, however the color gets really bright under sun light!
