Taobao(淘宝), as you might know, is the Chinese version "Ebay", but more user friendly and advanced.  Why would I say so? I am going to compare cool features of Taobao against Ebay in below section. (I actually think Taobao has the most user-friendly B2C platform in the world. :)

If you want to know how to register an account in taobao how to make purchase from taobao with agent (Step by step guide), please find it in our e_guide page.
You can also find more about what to purchase from taobao at our home page.

Taobao.com most popular/unique features

1. Better search assistance, reduce consumers search cost
In Ebay, you do not get as much help as Taobao offers while search for a product.  The "sort" options basically is about time/Price/Distance

Taobao, on the other hand, has great features to help consumers find desired product in shortest time:
  • Find same or Find similar products features. You can simply click "find similar" button on the product image, Taobao will show all similar products on one page from different sellers.
  • you can sort products by popularity, its sales, seller's credit rating, product launch time and price. I love to see products with good seller credit rating first. that is most important for me while I shop online.
  • on the navigation page, you can easily see "worthy buying products" suggested by taobao and buyers, you can pick a particular Location of seller, select "new lauching" products and etc.

2. Better seller review.
in Ebay, the review system is "over" simple. You rate seller/products into 3 options: Positive, Neutral or Negative. The comment about a product can not exceed 200 or so words.

However, if you compare it to Taobao's seller review. It provides extra information of:
  • how better or worse is this seller comparing to average rate of other sellers in the same field.
  • how many buyer has request refunds/return of its product
  • how fast does the seller process refund and in what percentage sold products are requested for refund.

Taobao does help consumers to worry less about return hassles while look carefully of these information.

3. Better product review.

Ebay has very simple product reviews on product page.

on the other hand, Taobao has a much rich review information. It saves buyers a lot time evaluating product with reviews shown for each single product. you can tell the difference, it has:
  • Most mentioned positive buyers review keywords in Orange and negative keywords in Gary.
  • Allow buyers to upload pictures of product to share (positive or negative)
  • You can choose only to see buyers' review with pictures attached.

4.More detailed product description.
Ebay's product description are pretty simple and "wordy". You can check a typical ebay description page here:     http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=2013.1.w4004-4941212923.3.NsHYwI&id=14924765203

However in Taobao, It becomes a new standards that Seller would show around 10 High definition pictures of product details. Like sleeves and button design. The description page sometimes has "too much" picture shown though,  it definitely, however , gives a better view the product.

5. Better seller-buyer communication.

Taobao launched "AliChat" tool almost 10 years ago. It is like a online chat program linking sellers directly with consumers.
For consumers who dislike online shopping due to lack of one to one instant communication with seller, this tool will solve this problem fro you. For most 3 stars and above seller,  they would have more than 3 people are online 12 hours per day to answer all question buyers have. Just a click of "chat with me" on product page, You could start to talk to one representative from that store. I love to use it to negotiate better price offer when I was purchasing many products from one seller. Yeah, remember that most Chinese people like bargains!
as you can see from below image, if you see a blue face on that representative, it means she is online at this moment. if it is shown in gray color, wait for a few hours. :). most of them are online during office hours in China.

When writing and/or speaking about tea in Burma, or any other country for that matter, it is inevitable to depart on the journey into the realm of tea in China - in south-west China to be precise - for that is as I will explain in the following definitely from where tea is originally coming from. The discussion on whether or not the history of Burmese tea and the drinking of tea in Burma have originated in China has probably more to do with at least some Bamars'/Burmans' reluctance to admit that the origin of tea is China and that the drinking of tea was adopted by them later from the Shan, than with tea, tea drinking and tea culture itself. The facts are that tea both as plant and beverage was discovered and had become important part of Chinese and later Shan culture already at a time when no Bamar/Burman had ever set foot into what is nowadays Burma (since 1989 also called Myanmar).
